On the back of a series of successful screenings in Europe, North America and Austrian television, 'Outside Light' is back in Adelaide for a third season.

Join Adelaide Poet & Film-maker Mark Niehus for an intimate outdoor laneway screening of a collection of his independent poetry films. Doors open 8.30pm. Screening from 9pm.

This diverse collection of films explore the friction between ideals and feelings of incompatibility with the status quo, digital privacy, domestic violence, integrity and individuality.

From 'We Are The Device' a glimpse into a future where shifting privacy standards have gone unchecked to 'Shiver', a woman reflecting on her triumph over childhood domestic violence.

A storyteller who weaves together music and poetry to share stories and shift stigmas. Our Ukulele Dream Girl is armed with a ukulele, some plants, '90s sing-alongs and a compassion filled heart. She’s ready to take you on a journey to explore the power of your expectations, prepare for the revolution of love, community and self-empowerment. But who is she?

'Who is the Ukulele Dream Girl?' is the debut solo show from Phi Theodoros of award winning 'Finding Me Cabaret' and highly acclaimed 'Depression The Musical'.

The show made its premiere at the Bakehouse Theatre in August 2019 to sold out crowds and rave reviews.

Join the journey, discover the power of expectations, become part of the community and take home a plant friend as a momento.

Relax with a glass of wine under the stars in the garden of Mixed Creative while listening to some of Adelaide's favourite actors reading a selection of short stories from award winning director Eddy Knight's forthcoming book 'A Short Walk to the Sea'.

Performed by Patrick Frost, Lizzy Falkland, Justene Knight and Eddy Knight.

All of these stories are set in the Port Adelaide area and gained Eddy a PhD in creative writing.

The Good Word (Spoken Word)

'The Good Word' is a monthly night of wholesome Spoken Word inspired art at the artsy haven that is Mixed Creative.


Come one, come all for a magical evening of poetic performance art -- aka Spoken Word -- under the stars in Port Adelaide.

It all takes place this month on the memorable garden laneway stage at Mixed Creative; a treasured local artisan hub!

We present four featured poets (10min) and open mic (4min) spots.

Our feature poets and night are sponsored by the wonderful folk at Ship Street Poetry.
